Man arrested for murder
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office arrested Shannon Bell of Flomaton Monday, May 8, charging him with murder in the death of Donna L. Martin, following Bell’s indictment by the Grand Jury. According to Chief Deputy Mike Lambert, Bell shot and killed Martin, also of Flomaton, near the Pollard Boat Landing on December 2, 2016. Music on Main is Saturday
Head on downtown Saturday for Music on Main, this week featuring Richard Bowen. The event will be held on North Main in the alleyway across from the post office from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. The Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring Music on Main, along with Wind Creek Casino and Hotel, United Bank, and First National Bank & Trust.

Y’s soccer program ‘growing by leaps and bounds’
