EA weightlifters break 3 state records
Escambia Academy’s 35-member weightlifting team captured seven individual state championships, including three lifters who broke state records, while seven others were either runners-up or took third place in the AISA Region 3 Weightlifting Championships, held at Pickens Academy this week. Three Escambia Academy athletes signed letters of intents on National Signing Day, February 1, to participate in collegiate-level athletic programs. Senior athletes Kris Brown, Trae Lee and Drew Parker will step up to the next level. Lee accepted a Division I scholarship offer to play football for Navy (the U.S. Naval Academy).
