Three Escambia Academy athletes signed letters of intents on National Signing Day, February 1, to participate in collegiate-level athletic programs.

Senior athletes Kris Brown, Trae Lee and Drew Parker will step up to the next level.

Lee accepted a Division I scholarship offer to play football for Navy (the U.S. Naval Academy).

Brown became one of the newest members of Mississippi College’s football program.

Parker signed a baseball scholarship with Coastal Alabama Community College in Brewton.

The three were reportedly the only athletes in Escambia County to accept college scholarship offers.

They are shown with some of the members of the EA senior class, from left, standing front, Sarah McGill, Garrett Emmons, Paolo Gorme, Kainoa Gumapac, Fallon Chastang, Courtney Ware, Abigail Smith; back, Claudia Stewart, David Dobson, Gary Campbell, Thomas Knight, Cameron Armentor, Ryan Johnson.
