Auditions set for radio drama
The Greater Escambia Council for the Arts will simulate a 1940s radio studio, reading from the script, producing their own sound effects. You don’t have to memorize lines and it’s only a two-week commitment. Auditions will be Thursday, April 27 at 7 p.m. Rehearsals will be Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays for the following two weeks. Show dates are Friday and Saturday, May 12 and 13.

Man loses leg in crash – Wife says rescue from isolated Clarke Co. area was ‘a miracle’
A Canoe man, one of Escambia County’s most noted cotton farmers, is recuperating in a Mobile hospital after he apparently lost consciousness and crashed his motorcycle in northwestern Clarke County last Saturday, April 8.
