Saying goodbye to ‘Father Jay’
St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church parishioners gathered Sunday, May 19, to honor the Reverend Arulappan Jayaraj, H.G.N. who has been reassigned to the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee. “Father Jay,” shown in the center above, has served the local church since 2014. Father Gordon Milsted will serve until the new priest, Father J. Francis Sofie comes to St. Robert in June.

News Staff Report On May 17, at Escambia County High School’s Class Day, the Escambia County Training School Alumni Gathering awarded $2,000 in Golden Eagles Scholarships to four seniors.
