Pool hours announced for Houston Avery Park
News Staff Report The city pool at Houston Avery Park is now open to the public five days a week. The pool opened Tuesday, May 29, at the municipal park, located just off Martin Luther King Drive. The Atmore City Council meeting which would fall on Monday, May 28, Memorial Day, has been cancelled. The Escambia County Commission will meet on Tuesday, May 29, 9 a.m., in the County Commission Chambers, rather than Monday, the 28th. VFW Post 7016 and American Legion Post 90 will hold a Memorial Day observance Monday, May 28, 9 a.m., at the Veterans Monument in front of Atmore City Hall.
