Perdido MS students place in Stock Market Game
By GERRI MCDONALD Special to Atmore News Perdido Middle School students once again finished among the top in the state during the 10-week Stock Market Game competition. Eighth graders Justin Brunson, Drew Turner, Ayden Scarborough and Braxton Scarborough finished fourth with final portfolio earnings of $112,479.31. Placing fourth in the state earned the team $75 and SMG drawstring bags. Drinkard wins Perdido School National Geographic Bee
Kam Drinkard, a fifth-grade student at Perdido Elementary / Middle School, won the school competition of the National Geographic Bee on January 19, and a chance at a $50,000 college scholarship. The Escambia County Middle School Project ASTEM staff was trained on Citizens CPR by Suzanne Helton, Escambia County High School health science teacher, on Friday January 19. after school.
