Fun, fellowship, food … and prizes
Members of Gamma Omega Chapter of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International held a tailgate party at member Evelyn Bilbo’s home Thursday, November 2. I received an interesting email a few weeks ago. We receive a ton of unsolicited emails, and I usually don’t pay much attention to them, but this one caught my eye. What are they teaching these kids?
Chickens. My neighbors have chickens. They had eight. Now they have just six. You wouldn’t expect to see chickens in the middle of town, but there they are. They belong to the Sanders family. More specifically to Isabella Sanders. She’s had them for a while. Isabella raised these chickens for the 4-H Chick Chain (see article online). She sold a couple at the Chick Chain Show and Sale in October.…

YMCA GECA haunted house
The YMCA and Greater Escambia Council for the Arts haunted house was a hit again this year. The house was open Thursday through Saturday nights and Monday night. “Tour guide” Sharon Poulsen escorted visitors through the Asylum of the Dead. She’s shown with the White family – Brayson, Addison and Daniel – as they prepare to enter.
