These Atmore firefighters visited the Atmore Public Library Summer Reading Program Friday, June 23. Topics they went over with the kids included Stop, Drop, Cover (your fact), and Roll, and having a meeting place outside with family members in case of a fire. Working around the 4th
Monday holidays sometimes pose a problem for us, with our print deadline being on Tuesday. However, July 4th presents a real challenge. Not only will we work around our newspaper schedule, it’s also “atmore” magazine week. The folks at The Monroe Journal print our newspaper, and they’re doing it Monday so they can be off Tuesday. Interstate Printing in Mobile prints the magazine, and they’re taking off Monday and Tuesday…

Kissing the goat down On the Farm
It was the girls versus the boys in a friendly competition at Atmore First Assembly of God’s vacation Bible school last week. VBS theme was On the Farm, Growin’ God’s Way. VBS volunteers Allen and Christie Minchew represented the teams, knowing that the loser had to kiss a goat. The boys won the competition.
