Changes in city recycling program
The following information was released by the City of Atmore. The City of Atmore is carefully considering the future of the Atmore Recycling Program. We were told by Waste Pro that monthly fees will quadruple April 1, 2017. After carefully considering our options, the following procedure will go into effect on Friday, March 10, 2017. Y’s first powerlifting event a success
Atmore Area YMCA held its first powerlifting fundraiser on Saturday, February 25. Thirteen individuals competed in several weight classes, with two high school students taking part. The competitors hefted more than five tons of steel during the event, proceeds from which went to help fund various Y programs.
