The Poarch Band of Creek Indians is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all children without charge. The Poarch Creek Tribal Council election will be held this Saturday, June 3, with three seats on the ballot – Tribal Chairman and two At-Large positions. Vehicle ditched
This Chrysler Sebring was apparently ditched by its driver after it landed upside-down in a 10-foot ditch off Woods Road around 11 a.m., Tuesday. According to an Atmore Fire Department spokesman, AFD personnel arrived at the scene, about a half-mile off Jack Springs Road, where a Poarch Fire Department unit had already arrived and verified that no one was inside the vehicle.
