Juvenile charged with attempted murder in Atmore shooting
A 17-year-old male was arrested Tuesday (Feb. 27) by Atmore police and charged with the attempted murder of another teen who was shot and critically injured at an Atmore location. An Atmore man escaped with only minor injuries Wednesday (Feb. 21) after he and his car were sent flying off a Santa Rosa County, Fla. bridge and into Escambia Bay about an hour before sunrise. Columbus ships Pinta and Nina to land in Orange Beach
On Friday, March 2, the Pinta and the Nina, replicas of Columbus’ ships, will open in Orange Beach. The ships will be docked at The Wharf, 23101 Canal Road until their departure early Tuesday morning March 6. The Nina was built completely by hand and without the use of power tools.
