Leroy White
Mr. Leroy White, age 79 of Byrneville, Fla., passed away Monday, February 12, 2018 at his home. He was born in McDavid, Fla. to the late Roy and Lanie White. He was a graduate of Walnut Hill High School. After retiring from Champion Paper International, Leroy and his wife enjoyed many years camping and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lanie and Roy White; a son, Dwayne White; a granddaughter, Callista White; a sister, Mildred Gilmore and brothers, Losson White and James White.

Mr. White is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Adelia Reynolds White of Byrneville; two daughters, Sherry Hooks (Danny) of Brewton, Ala. and Felicia White of Flomaton, Ala. and one son, Darel White of Navarre, Fla.; seven grandchildren, their spouses; one great- grandchild, nieces and nephews.

The family received friends Friday, February 16, 2018 from 11 a.m. until service time at noon at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tony Richburg and Bro. John Bob Coleman officiating. Interment followed in Byrneville Methodist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Shad White, Kyle White, Ryan Hooks, Charles Cash, Brackie Gaither and Jerry Mason.

Honorary pallbearers were Nathan Waters, Ethan Waters, Sherman Glover, Carl Gandy, and John Townson.

Mary Walton Garrett
Mrs. Mary Walton Garrett, age 92, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018 at her home in Bay Springs, Fla. She was a native of Carabelle, Fla. and a resident of Bay Springs since 1947. She was active in the community serving as a seamstress and baker. She was a member of the Bay Springs Full Gospel Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Alvin Garrett; two sons, William Brooks Garrett and Dennis Alvin Garrett, Sr.; one daughter, Connie Marie Garrett; two brothers, W.D. Bill Walton and John Walton and one sister, Lois Elizabeth Walton.

Mrs. Garrett is survived by one son, Kenneth “Sambo” (Margaret) Garrett of Bay Springs; two daughters, Mary Dianna (Doug) Murray of Daphne, Ala. and Donna Jane Shaw (Randy) Hammac of Pensacola, Fla.; one brother, Ernest Walton of Robertsdale, Ala.; one sister, Minnie Mae Dunnaway of Salem, Ark.; one sister-in-law, Ruth Walton of Livingston, Texas; twelve grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and fifteen great- great-grandchildren and one daughter-in-law, Sara Garrett of Davisville, Fla.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating. Burial followed at Bay Springs Cemetery.

The family received friends Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Shane Garrett, Sammy Garrett, Jason Sims, Will Norris, Lance Yuhasz and Jamie Garrett.

Donnie Eugene Rolin
Mr. Donnie Eugene Rolin, age 72, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018 at home.  He was born in Atmore, Ala. to the late Eugene “Buster” and Bessie Georgia Rolin. He was a member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians and resided in the Poarch Community his entire life. He worked as a coast to coast truck driver and retired in 1999. He was an avid fisherman and loyal Alabama fan.   He was the Patriarch of the Rolin family. He was able to attend a special service with Brother Jimmy Swaggart where he received special blessings and prayers and acknowledged the Lord Jesus as his personal savior.

Mr. Rolin is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Dianna Lynn (Lassitter) Rolin; daughters, Cathy Lynn (Rolin) Cooke and husband Allen of Grove Hill, Ala. and Sonya Charles of Milton, Fla.; three cherished grandsons, Adam, Rob and Jessie Cooke; one brother-in-law Tony Lassitter and his wife Shelia of Uriah, Ala.; siblings, Peggy Couch (late Harold McElhaney), Ernest Rolin (Tina), Harvey James Rolin, Roy Vernon Rolin, Walter Rolin (Anita), Virginia Godwin (late Alton Godwin), Kenneth Wayne Rolin, Deno Rolin (Necole) of Poarch, Al, Johnny Mack Rolin (Ashley), Autonya Jordan (Wesley), Shawn Rolin (Stephanie) and Aubrey “Tinker” Rolin, all of Poarch, Ala., Anthony Rolin (Jennifer) of Bratt, Fla. and numerous loving nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

The family received friends Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 5 p.m. for family and 6 p.m. until morning for extended family and friends at Poarch Community Church.

Funeral services were held Monday, February 19, 2018 at 2 p.m. at McCullough Christian Center with burial services to follow at Judson Indian Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Bryan Couch, Aubrey “Tinker” Rolin, Deno Rolin, Shawn Rolin, Johnny Ray Steadham, David McGhee, Trenton Rayborn,

Joseph A. Lanier
Mr. Joseph A. Lanier, age 66, of Waller, Texas. He was born to the late Columbus and Emma Hayes Billy Lanier. He was a retired school teacher and performer at the Texas Renaissance Festival. He was known as “Blackhart” and performed with the Pride of Bedlam.

Mr. Lanier is survived by his wife, Carol Pickens Lanier of Waller; his daughters, Jennifer (Donald) Rawls of Millbrook, Ala., Cynthia (Shane) Conway of Stockton, Ala. and Rebecca (Jeremy) McKinley of Albany, Ga.; grandchildren, Beryline, Aurora, James, Jose, Juan, Mateo, Parker, and Ally.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Hoomesville Church of Christ in Damascus, Ala. with Bro. Wally Booker officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

The family received friends Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m.at Hoomesville Church of Christ.

Edith Gaynell Lambert
Edith Gaynell Lambert 79, of Arab, Ala. passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018 in Arab. She was born to the late Angus Lambert and Emma Presley Reed in Tibbie, Ala.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Helen Burkett and one brother, Douglas Lambert.

Ms. Lambert is survived by her three sons, Wesley (Sondra) Culver, Eddie (Stephanie) Culver, all of Tennessee, William (Marla) Turner of Fla. and Donald (Janet) Turner of Ala.; two daughters, Martha Collum and Lillian (Mike) Reynolds, all of Ala.; three brothers, Donald (Judy) Lambert of Ala., John Reed and James Reed, both of Texas; three sisters, Viola Conn of Ala., Lagatha Lilly and Wanda (Cary) Vowels, all of Texas; thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 1 p.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Gipson officiating. Burial followed in Serenity Gardens Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Trent Reynolds, Jacob Turner, Jessie Gipson, Aaron Lambert, Doug Lambert and Terry Collum.

Honorary pallbearers were Hayden Collum, Andy Reynolds and Cody Reynolds.

Dennis Alvin Garrett
Mr. Dennis Alvin Garrett, Sr., age 72, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018 in Atmore, Ala. He was a native of Beaumont, Texas and has resided in Davisville, Fla. since 1993. He was a musician at heart, could play numerous instruments, loved singing and hot rods. He was of the holiness faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Garrett; oldest son, Dennis Jr.; step-daughter, Katie Lockett; brother, William Brooks Garrett and sister, Connie Marie Garrett.

Mr. Garrett is survived by his wife, Sara L. Garrett of Davisville; mother, Mary L. Garrett who passed on February 15, 2018; two sons, Jamie Lynn (Tracy) Garrett of Dry Springs, Fla. and David Garrett of Pensacola, Fla.; one step-son, William Lindsey Brown of Atmore, Ala.; one daughter-in-law, Sue Gulsby Garrett of Molino, Fla.; one brother, Kenneth “Sambo” (Margaret) Garrett of Bay Springs, Fla.; two sisters, Dianne (Doug) Murray of Daphne, Ala. and Donna (Randy) Hammac of Pensacola, Fla.; six grandchildren, Blayne Garrett, Saige Garrett, Lucas White, Susan Wyse-Wright, Gabriel Rhea and Daylan Brown and one great-grandchild, Lyndzi Wright.

Memorial services were held Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at Bay Springs Full Gospel Church with Bro. Joe Gibson officiating.

Billy C. Etheridge
Mr. Billy C. Etheridge, age 75, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018 at his home in Atmore, Ala. He was a native of Eliska, Ala. and has resided in Atmore most of his life. He was a former auto salesman with Staff Chevrolet and Brantley Tires. He attended the Splinter Hill Holiness Church and Lottie Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Emmie Etheridge; wife, Joyce Bryars Etheridge; one sister, Shirley Ann Lane and four brothers, Tom Etheridge, Wayne Etheridge, Jody Etheridge and Jerry Etheridge.

Mr. Etheridge is survived by one son, Allen Etheridge and David Rawson of Atmore; one step-son, Donnie Stewart of Atmore; one daughter, Cynthia Thompson of Atmore; two step-daughters, Fonda Snure of Milton, Ala. and Rochel and Keith Martin of McCullough, Ala.; two sisters, Emma Phillips of Brewton, Ala. and Mary Shelia Bouillion of Alexandria, Va.; four granddaughters, Samantha Rolin, Jessica Black, Rachel Martin and Scarlet Martin and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 10 a.m.at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Brother Malcolm Harrelson and Bro. Angelo Thomley officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitation was Wednesday, February 21, 2018 from 9:00 AM until service time at 10:00 AM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Dean Bushnell, Keith Martin, Rodney McGhee, Cody Black, Jon Rolin and Danny Nall.

Mary L. Williams
Ms. Mary L. Williams, age 69, of Stockton (Tensaw Community), Ala. passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at her residence.

Delores Ann Brown
Mrs. Delores Ann Brown, age 60, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018. She was born to the late Elizabeth Mitchell Williams and Anderson Williams. She was a 1975 graduate of Escambia County School. She was an employee of Jefferson Smurfit Mill, Brewton, Ala. with thirty years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a number of sisters and brothers.

Mrs. Brown is survived by a son Marcus Williams; daughter, Nefertiti Rodgers; step-daughter, Beverly Rodgers; step-sons, Michael Rodgers, Kwame Rodgers and Mensah Rodgers; brothers, Wallace (Shirley) Longmire, Woodrow (Doriene) Longmire and Sammy America; sisters, Alice Sanders, Vernell America, Fonda Poellnitz and Maggie McMillian: brother-in-law, L.T,. Townsend; great-grand-nephew, Ja Corey (Noah) Dailey; a host of nieces, grand-nieces, nephews and grand-nephews; close friends, Judith Frye Dobbs, Faye Ephraim, Bruce Curtis Logan and Willie Ruth Knotts.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Gaines chapel A.M.E. with Rev. Amos Smith, Pastor and Dr. Audrey McAroy, eulogist.

Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers were the Class of 1975.

Flower bearers were Class of 1975 and Elegant Ladies of Essence.

Mr. E. Z. (Pig) Wiggins, age 68, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope Ala.
