Atmore man pulls into train’s path, seriously injured
News Staff Report A 20-year-old Atmore man was seriously injured late Thursday night (Dec. 13) after he apparently pulled his vehicle into the path of an oncoming freight train near Cantonment, Fla. According to Florida Highway Patrol reports, Dustin Ryan Crumbley was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital after the crash, which occurred around 11:45 p.m. at the intersection of Jacks Branch and Muscogee roads in the Panhandle community. An Atmore man, 23-year-old Desha R Jenkins, was seriously injured when his southbound 2001 Nissan Pathfinder reportedly ran off Jack Springs Road, hit either a bridge or tree stump and went airborne. It slammed into a tree roughly 10 feet off the ground, then dropped into a ditch. Garbage pick-up schedule during holidays
The city released the following schedule for garbage pick-up at Christmas. Monday Dec. 24 – Regular garbage pick-up Tuesday Dec. 25 – No garbage pick-up If your garbage pick-up is normally on Tuesday, it will be picked up on Wednesday, Dec. 26.
