Huxford Ambassadors named
Huxford Ambassadors have been named for the 2019-2020 school year. These are sixth grade students who are chosen based on their written essay and their character at HES. They will represent the school throughout the year at various functions and activities. Honoring first responders
For the 13th year, the congregation of Trinity Episcopal Church will host Blue Mass to remember those who perished September 11, 2001, in the attack on America. Shady playground
Atmore Rotary Club, using a series of grants from several sources, recently installed a shade structure above the playground adjacent to the Atmore Community Splash Pad, just off Craig and Trammell streets. The 1,500-square-foot shade will allow children to use the playground equipment with less exposure to the sun and will prevent the equipment from becoming too hot to use.
