Escambia Academy’s homecoming court will be presented and the homecoming queen crowned at Senior Night, November 6, during the game against Springwood Academy. Senior maids are Disha Patel, LaKrystal Turner, Gabrielle Williams; junior maid is Jamison Janes; sophomore maid is Kadence Kolbe; freshman maid is Tava Johnson.

Atmore Community Hospital employees always celebrate Halloween in grand style. They have a costume contest and several departments also participate in a pumpkin contest. The cast of characters is shown above. Winners of the costume contest are Radiology and Maintenance – The Office, first place; Dawone Dortch, second place; Front Office – witches, third place. Pumpkin winners are Laboratory, first place; Surgery, second place; HIM and Case Management, third place.

Gideons News Staff Report Atmore Lions Club member and Past President Bub Gideons was elected Second Vice District Governor of Lions District 34C, October 24, at the District Cabinet meeting. Lions of Alabama District 34C is comprised of 40 Lions clubs serving local communities throughout southern Alabama. Tracy Jones of Atmore graduated from Troy University during Term 1 of the 2020/2021 academic year. Jones attended Troy Online and graduated with the Master of Science in Human Resource Management degree. Term 1 includes students at Troy’s campuses in Dothan, Phenix City and Montgomery, Ala., along with teaching sites outside of Alabama and online.
