Gideons elected to Lions district office

Atmore Lions Club member and Past President Bub Gideons was elected Second Vice District Governor of Lions District 34C, October 24, at the District Cabinet meeting. Lions of Alabama District 34C is comprised of 40 Lions clubs serving local communities throughout southern Alabama.
Gideons’ duties in his new position will include serving as an assistant in the administration of the district, and representative of the district governor; furthering the purposes of this association; familiarizing himself with the health and status of the clubs in the district; serving as the District Governor Team liaison between the District Global Leadership Team, working as an active member of the District Global Leadership Team along with the District Governor, First Vice District Governor and other Global Leadership Team members to establish and implement a district-wide leadership development plan; and working with the District Governor, First Vice District Governor, and the Global Membership Team to develop and implement a district-wide plan for membership growth. This is by no means an exhaustive list of duties.
Gideons is well known in Atmore for his volunteerism and leadership – past Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year, Main Street Atmore advocate, Pride of Atmore founder, Volunteer of the Year, Past Leadership Atmore president, Best Community Leader 2014-2019.
