COVID vaccine update
Monday, March 22, 2021 News Staff Report Beginning March 22, vaccine eligibility expanded to include phase 1c and people 55 years and older. The expansion to 1c includes people with high-risk medical conditions, additional critical workers, and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. People in phase 1a and 1b are also eligible to be vaccinated. Vandals damage depot
Atmore police received a report on March 17 that the train depot building along East Nashville Avenue, Alabama’s official Rail Welcome Center, had been vandalized. Reports indicate that all the windows in the landmark building were broken and that “several railroad rocks” were found inside. Damage is estimated at $600. Police officials urged anyone having information that could help APD solve the case, to call 368-9141.
