Kids at the Atmore Public Library summer reading program had quite a treat Friday, June 10, when Sierra Stiles and Linda West with Turtle Point Science Center brought turtles, lizards, a baby alligator, creepy crawly bugs, and, yes, a snake for the kids to see and touch. On May 8, Meredith McGhee graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Associate of Arts in Biochemistry from Pensacola State College. Meredith wore medals identifying her as a Presidential Scholar and recipient of a Student Excellence Award.Meredith is the daughter of Kent and Tracy Bottjer McGhee, and granddaughter of John and Dottie Padgett, and Willis and Arentha McGhee.
