Pedalin’ for St. Jude
Every year, the youngsters at First Baptist Church preschool participate in a bike-a-thon to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The younger kids have a trike-a-thon which they did last Friday, April 8.Sometimes a trike, sometimes a bike, maybe a wagon or a scooter, the goal is the same – raising money for a good cause.Shown are some of the kids pedalin’ or ridin’ for St. Jude.

Volunteer firefighting units from Little Rock, Barnett Crossroads and Pineview teamed up Monday, April 4, to battle a mobile home blaze and keep it from spreading to other properties. Distracted driving campaign launched in Fla.
Special to Atmore News April is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month, and the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) and the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) have launched a campaign aimed at educating Florida motorists on the importance of avoiding distracted driving.Motorists are being informed of current laws against distracted driving.
