Folks flew in and drove in to visit the recently refurbished Atmore Municipal Airport Saturday, March 10, when city officials and airport management hosted an open house and fly-in. Cutting the ribbon are airport manager Freddie McCall Jr. and his wife Margie. To his left is Mayor Jim Staff who said 10 aircraft flew in for the event – including LifeFlight. He added that threatening weather conditions may have kept some aircraft from flying in.
