House Republicans are delivering results under Speaker Johnson

Congressman Jerry Carl

In October, the House elected Representative Mike Johnson as Speaker of the House. Speaker Johnson has proven himself as a strong leader and tireless fighter for our conservative values. Most importantly, he is a man of deep faith who practices what he preaches.
After electing Speaker Johnson, we got right to work in the People’s House by continuing the work to pass the 12 annual Appropriations bills. Under his leadership, we first passed the annual Energy and Water Appropriations bill which strengthens our energy security and economic competitiveness, invests in our nation’s ports and waterways, and supports our nuclear stockpile.
House Republicans have worked to pass 7 of the 12 annual Appropriations bills so far, and we are working on more. We passed the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations bill to fully fund veterans’ programs and provide the care our veterans deserve. National Security remains a top priority as well, with the House passing Homeland Security Appropriations bill. This legislation provides record funding to build the wall, hire new Border Patrol agents, and stop the flow of illegal immigrants and drugs into our communities.
We are keeping our promise to hold President Biden accountable by exposing the corruption in Joe Biden’s family and his administration through various committees including the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, House Judiciary Committee, and House Ways and Means Committee to get the answers the American people demand and deserve.
Speaker Johnson has also fulfilled the promise he made to release all of the January 6th footage so that all Americans can see for themselves exactly what did or did not happen that day, rather than having Nancy Pelosi and the Far Left’s narrative pushed on us.
There is no doubt our country faces big problems, and we have a long way to go to get our nation back on track, but House Republicans are united behind Speaker Johnson to continue doing the work the American people sent us here to do.
