An Atmore man serving a 20-year sentence for his 2016 conviction on several crimes, was denied parole during recent hearings by the Alabama Board of Pardons & Paroles.
Sean Paul Lundy was convicted in Escambia County Circuit Court of second-degree domestic violence, second-degree kidnapping, possession of a pistol by a person convicted of a violent crime and an unspecified “Class C felony” from Baldwin County.
He was actually sent to state prison in 2020 and has served about 41 months of the sentence.
Lundy, currently housed at Fountain Correctional Facility, has also served two other stretches behind state bars.
He served all but a few hours of a 3-year prison term in 2010 after he was convicted of second-degree domestic violence, second-degree kidnapping and first-degree escape, which is the use of force or the use of a weapon during an escape or escape attempt.
Lundy was sentenced to 10 years in prison after a 1998 conviction for first-degree theft, but actually served less than four after he accumulated a net of more than six years of “good time.”
Unless he is granted parole or a pardon, he will remain behind bars until June 13, 2035.
