Kathy Johnson has been named as the Revenue Cycle Director for the Escambia County Health Care Authority (ECHCA) Health System that includes D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital (DWM) and Atmore Community Hospital (ACH) and their affiliates. Johnson has been in the position of Practice Administrator at ACH for the last two years.
“The ECHCA is pleased Kathy will continue to support our health system in her new role as Revenue Cycle Director,” ECHCA CEO Jeff Booth said. “We feel Kathy’s experience in both the clinic and hospital setting will bring much added value to her new position. We are very fortunate to have someone with Kathy’s experience and credentials as part of our healthcare team.”
Johnson most recently held the position of practice administrator for the clinics at ACH. She has worked with both Monroe County Hospital and Infirmary Health at North Baldwin. During her time at Monroe County Hospital, Johnson served as the patient financial services director and in the business office and as a reimbursement specialist for the hospital’s Women’s Health Clinic. Johnson also worked as a reimbursement specialist for North Baldwin Infirmary in their Women’s Health Clinic. Johnson is also local to the community as a lifelong resident of Uriah.
“Kathy has also played an integral role at Atmore Community Hospital’s physician clinics in their transition from Infirmary Health System,” Booth said. “She has led the Atmore clinics through the implementation of the Cerner Information Technology project, helped the startup of ACH Complete Care and has been involved with the planning for ACH Urgent Care.”
