In background, medics prepare to load a local woman into an ambulance after her Mitsubishi Outlander skidded when she braked to avoid hitting other vehicles, slid into a corn field and overturned. The single-vehicle crash occurred just before 8 a.m. on April 19. According to a witness who was in a vehicle ahead of the Mitsubishi, a log truck was headed north in the state highway’s inside lane when it suddenly changed lanes, causing several drivers to apply their brakes. Alabama State Trooper investigated the crash.
