Mr. Dennis Leslie Moye

Mr. Dennis Leslie Moye, age 60, passed Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at his home. He was a lifelong resident of the Atmore, Ala. area. He was a member of the Carney Masonic Lodge #549 in Atmore. He loved spending all of his time with his great grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Leslie Moye; one son, Leslie Moye; one brother, Pamela Moye and one sister, Shirley Nesbitt.
Mr. Moye is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Linda Woodrufff Moye of Atmore; one step-son, Chad Phillips of Montgomery, Ala.; two daughters, Samatha Moye of Castleberry, Ala. and Amy Lewis of Greenville, Ala.; one brother, Kendrell (Sonya) Moye of Robertsdale, Ala.; two sisters, Margie Shipp and Dorothy Taylor, both of Atmore; special friend, Robert Grissett Jr. of Atmore; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Petty -Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC. with Chaplain Michael Blair officiating. Burial will follow at Sullivan Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 28, 2021 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Petty- Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC.
Pallbearers will be Robert Grissett Jr; Tory Brown, Koty Krews, Travis Allen, Shawn Lassiter and Cody Black.

Eddie Fred Tinker

Mr. Eddie Fred Tinker, age 63, of Dixon Mills, Ala., formerly of Flomaton, Ala., passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at his daughter’s residence.

Funeral service are in complete and will be announced later by Turner Funeral Chapel.

Murry Hill

Mr. Murry Hill, age 85, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Atmore Nursing Center.

Hattie C. Ewing

Ms. Hattie C. Ewing, age 72, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Providence Hospital in Mobile, Ala. A native of McKinnonville, Fla., Ms. Ewing had lived in Denton, Texas before relocating to Atmore.  She attended Ranson High School in Cantonment, Fla. and was a 1969 graduate of Ernest Ward High School in Walnut Hill, Fla. While living in Texas she was employed with the Denton School Board. In her leisure time she enjoyed shooting pool, fishing, gardening, playing tennis, and working puzzles. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Zelma Moorer; her stepfather, David Moorer, her father, Elery Williams; granddaughter, Liliana Crissett Graham; grandsons, Jovian Tyrese Graham and Derryle Whiting, Jr; sister, Rosemary Moorer; and brothers, Aldo Moorer and Ular C. Moorer.

Ms. Ewing is survived by her son, L. C. (Zedria) Graham, Jr. of Atmore; her daughter, Vonda (Derryle, Sr.) Whiting of Orange Park, Fla.; five sisters, Lorree Stokes of Atmore, Diane Thames of Walnut Hill, Gloria Moorer, Vera Simpson, and Tammie Dunn, all of Century, Fla.; three brothers, Thomas Williams of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Glenn (Doretha) Moorer of Atmore and Joey (Bonnie) Moorer of Pace, Fla.; two grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, two aunts, two uncles, cousins, and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 4, 2021 from 1 – 5 p.m. at the funeral home with Face mask required.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the House of Prayer in Walnut Hill with Rev. Floyd Peacock eulogist and Rev. Danny Fountain gracious host. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Turner Funeral Chapel in charge of all arrangements.

Larry Eugene Richardson

Mr. Larry Eugene Richardson, age 71, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Friday, May 21, 2021. He was born to the late James and Dicie Richardson. He attended Escambia county High School. He went to work for Standard Furniture and then to Alto Products Corp. and retired there. He had a quiet and gentle spirit and a positive attitude. He was member of Mt. Gillead Missionary Baptist Church in Freemanville, Ala.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Celia Davis Richardson and his younger brother, Don N. Richardson, Sr.

Mr. Richardson is survived by his children, Antonio (Kimya) Richardson, Mark (Angela) Richardson, both of Pensacola, Fla., Cyndy Ervin of Fairhope Ala., Lacey (Marcus) Andres of Bay Minette, Ala., Travis (Charletha) Richardson of Brewton, Ala.; eight brothers and sisters, James Richardson of Clewiston, Fla., Willie (Carolyn) Richardson, Rosa Stallworth, Lola Presley, Michael A. Richardson, all of Pensacola, Fla., Christine (Rev. Robert) Lewis of Greenville, Ala., Katrina (Rev. Coleman) Wallace Deborah (Daniel) Freeman, all of Atmore, Virginia (James) Brinson of Atlanta, Ga.; devoted sister-in-law, Christina Marshall; niece, Stephanie Start; ex-wife and friend, Emma Johnson; many loving and caring nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Graveside services were held Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Stallworth Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Coleman M. Wallace, Sr., officiating.

Pallbearers were Don N. Richardson, Jr., Torris Jermaine Richardson, Marcus Andrews, Quintel Brinson, Rodney Richardson, Demetrius Freeman
