Travis Berry

Mr. Travis Berry, age 67, of Walnut Hill, Fla. passed away in Pensacola, Fla. Tuesday, June 24, 2025 with his family by his side. Travis was born on July 20, 1957 in Atmore, AL to Colon Berry and Gwnette Wilkins Berry.  Travis retired from International Paper Company, and later worked for Escambia County Road Department.  Travis was an active member of Oak Grove Church of Christ where he also served as a church elder.  Travis loved his time spent with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren whom he was lovingly known as “Pappy.”

Travis is preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers; Ervin Berry, and Everett Berry.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Patsy Godwin Berry, his son; Richard Keith (Julia) Berry of Lake Mary, FL, his daughters; Stacey (Travis) Harrison of Jay, FL, and Lisa (Frank) Smarr of Jay, FL, his brother; Sammy (Laura) Berry of Bratt, FL, and his eleven grandchildren; Ava Berry, Katelyn Harrison, Cooper Harrison, Kendal Harrison, Nathan Smarr, Justin Smarr, Tyson Smarr, Tenley Smarr, Clayton Smarr, Coach Smarr, and Paxton Smarr.

Memorial services for Travis will be held Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home with Bro. Brad Sullivan officiating.

Family will receive friends Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Travis’ memory.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home is in charge of  all arrangements.  

Samuel “Dickie” Lee, Jr.

Mr. Samuel “Dickie” Lee, Jr., age 73, of Atmore, Ala. passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June  29, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Emmanuel Faith Center. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Christian Memorial Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.

Imogene Boyington

Mrs. Imogene Boyington, age 82, passed Saturday, June 28, 2025 in Atmore, Ala. Originally from Perdido, Ala., she lived in Atmore for many years and was a proud member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. She was a devoted attendee of Fretwell Tabernacle Holiness Church. She enjoyed quiet time with her coffee and her favorite gospel music, time with family and Alabama football. Her fondness for Dr. Pepper made every moment feel just a little bit sweeter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roil Hadley and Dottie Burdick; husband, O’Neal Boyington; two sons, Danny Wayne Boyington and Mark Randall Boyington; daughter, Racheal Reeves; five brothers, Donnie Hadley, Steve Hadley, Melton Hadley, Leo Hadley and Thomas Earl Hadley; sister, Pauline Weaver.
Mrs. Boyington  is survived by two sons, Rodney (Becky) Boyington of Lottie, Ala. and Jimmie Boyington and fiancé Anna Tingle of Nokomis, Ala.; three daughters, Ester (Doug) Smith, Linda (Dewayne) Salter and Lisa Garrick, all of Atmore; four brothers, Lamar (Bernice) Hadley of  Perdido, Tony (Syretha) Hadley of Mize, Miss., Mack Hadley of Rabun, Ala. and Gilbert Hadley of McCullough, Ala.; five sisters, Darlene (Wendell) Stewart and Tammy Stewart, all of Bay Minette, Ala., Daisy (Kenneth) Koenig of Brewton, Ala. and Louise Johnson of Nokomis; step-mother, Mazie Joiner of Perdido;  nineteen grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at 1p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, LLC with Sister Helen Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Lottie New Home Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. until service time at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, LLC.
Pallbearers will be JD Boyington, Kevin Boyington, Billy Davis, Kaden Boyington, Ashley Salter and Joe Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Boyington, Dustin Boyington, Josh Ramer and Shawn Salter
