In response to the announcement, Dr. Collier stated, “I am honored and thankful to represent District 1, which includes so many exceptional communities and educational leaders. This recognition by my peers is deeply meaningful, and I promise to do my best to represent our district with integrity, passion, and purpose. I’m also thankful for the team that we have in Escambia that serves and supports our schools. We have incredible leaders, teachers, staff, and students! This recognition is not just mine – it is a testament to the incredible work happening across Escambia County Schools, and I am truly excited to celebrate this honor on behalf of our district.”
The Board of Education recognized and congratulated Dr. Collier at a board meeting Thursday, June 5.
Dr. Collier has served as superintendent of Escambia County Schools since 2024, leading initiatives focused on instructional excellence, reading challenges for K-8 students, student safety, workforce development, and community engagement. Under her leadership, the district has made significant strides in academic achievement, technology integration, and operational efficiency.
