Louise Webb Morris

Mrs. Louise Webb Morris, age 90, a native of Tampa, Fla., passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025 in Atmore, Ala. where she lived near her daughter for twenty years. She was a graduate of Hillsborough High School (’53). 

Her interests were wide and varied. She loved crafting and sewing, taking in seamstress work making banners for AFC CIO, firefighters union and church special events. She loved arts, especially crafting, making kites and cut-out flowers; cardboard boats, airplanes and houses to the delight of children. She became a nanny to countless infants and toddlers.

She enjoyed playing games: scrabble, rummy and Yahtzee were her favorites. She was an avid bowler. She loved music, hymns and silly songs and especially enjoyed listening to her children play in the band. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Edith (DeeDee) Webb; two brothers, William (Bill) and Robert (Bob) and wife Marjorie (Margie); her sister, Marguerite and husband Harold; her son, Eugene (Chris) and the father of her children, Cleveland.

Mrs. Morris is survived by her children, Craig, Lynette (Lee), Sharon and Connie Lynn; her grandchildren, Cameron, Carmen, Aaron, Ann, and Marie; great-grandchildren, Alan, Allison, Ava, Aurora, Olivia, Aubrey, Sasillia and Lucas.

Roger Glenn Boutwell

Mr. Roger Glenn Boutwell, age 83, of Atmore, Ala. passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025 in Jacksonville, Fla.  He was born in Jay, Fla. to the late Desmond Boutwell and Vera Cambell Boutwell. He was a farmer for Triple B Farms and a truck driver. He loved Alabama football, fishing, skiing and golfing.  He lived life to the fullest and was the life of the party.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Donald Boutwell and granddaughter, Kalea Brown.

Mr. Boutwell is survived by his wife, Deborah Pohronezny Boutwell; his children, Tami (Steve) Brown, Belynda (Jim) Cook, Jeff Boutwell, Dean (Cindy) Fournier, and Chad (Allison) Fournier; his sister, Deborah Boutwell (Larry) Patton; his grandchildren, Miranda Merz, Tyler Brown, Breanna Formby, Hunter Brown, Alexa Cook, Megan Fournier, Melanie Dobson and Emily Hart, Larissa Trawick, Randi Jo Dixon, Savannah Jester, Darrien Fournier, Jordan Hochstetler; his great-grandchildren, Paisley Brown, Addison Formby, Tatum Formby, Hazel Merz, Watson Trawick, Scarlot Jo Trawick and Charlie Jo Dixon.

Graveside services were held Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Jay Cemetery in Jay with Bro. Matthew Dobson officiating. Interment followed in Jay Cemetery

The family received friends Friday, May 23, 2025 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in Atmore.

Lindia Ileen Vaughn

Mrs. Lindia Ileen Vaughn, age 74, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at her home. She was born and raised in Perdido, Ala. and spent most of her life there. She had a deep love for cooking and canning. She enjoyed watching westerns, word searches and crosswords puzzles. She loved to travel in the mountains. Sundays and holidays were special for her, filled with get-togethers with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mose and Estelle White Vaughn; two sisters, Betty Morrow and Miriam Morrow; four brothers, Robert Vaughn, MW Vaughn, JB Vaughn and Jerry Vaughn.
Mrs. Vaughn is survived by her sons, Billy (Gail) Andrews of Perdido, Jeremy (Rebecca) Odom, all of Bay Minette, Ala. and Jerome (Mandy) Odom of Perdido; two brothers, John Vaughn and Kenneth Vaughn, all of Saraland, Ala.; grandchildren, Timmy Andrews, Billy Jo Andrews, Deseria Gardner, Hunter Odom, Dillon Odom and Canyon Odom; great grandchildren, Colton Andrews, Astrid Andrews, and Samuel Andrews.

Kindle Myron Taylor

Mr. Kindle Myron Taylor, age 76, of McCullough, Ala. passed away Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Monroe Manor Rehabilitation Center in Monroeville, Ala.  He was born in Atmore, Ala. to Kindle and Sena Mae Hadley Taylor. He was a Vietnam Veteran and retired from the State of Alabama Prison System. He attended McCullough Christian Center. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and especially treasured spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Kindle Amon Taylor.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his loyal and faithful wife of fifty-four years, Gwen Taylor; his three children, Bridget Kay Taylor Faith (Walter) and Sena Renee Crawford (Jon), all of Atmore and Nikie Christine Taylor of Elmore, Ala.; his sisters, June Brown of Canoe, Ala. and Judy Luker of Pensacola, Fla; seven grandchildren, Zander (Harlie), Gabe, and Levi Crawford, Logan and Blake Faith, Victoria Morgan (Dustin) and Myra King along with a host of family and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 25, 2025, at 2 p.m. at McCullough Christian Center with Pastor C.P. Phillips and Pastor Richard Daniels officiating. Interment followed  in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family received friends Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at McCullough Christian Center.
