Council OKs liquor license, Juneteenth event, car show

Atmore City Council, sitting one member short, breezed through a three-item agenda during the panel’s Monday, April 28, meeting.
With District 2’s Jerome Webster unable to attend the session, the remaining four council members:
*Approved a restaurant retail liquor license for Who Dat Seafood Restaurant, scheduled to open soon;
*Gave the green light to a request by James McNeil Sr. to hold a Juneteenth celebration on Thursday, June 19, at the Cornelia Elmore Memorial Library Monument on Martin Luther King Drive;
*Approved a request by Carlos McNeil to hold a car show on Saturday, July 5, in the parking lot of the Chic-A-Dee parking lot.
