Ronald Wayne Boone
Mr. Ronald Wayne Boone, age 80, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at his home. He was born in Atmore, Ala. and spent most of his life in Bratt, Fla. He was a devoted member of Shiloh Freewill Baptist Church. He loved relaxing on the porch enjoying the fresh air. Fishing and planting a garden were his favorite pastimes. He enjoyed time with family and friends sharing a meal or watching football and the History Channel. Summertime found him looking forward to traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Buford and Ada Lee “Kitty” Hanks Boone; grandmother, Ola Mae Hanks.
Mr. Boone is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Harvette Boone of Bratt; two sons, Ronnie and wife (Amber) Boone of Poarch, Ala., Patrick and wife (Sandi) Boone of Rutherfordton, N.C.; sister, Jean Worley of Calif; nephew, Greg and wife Catherine Worley; niece, Shawna Worley Lanier; five grandchildren, Sierra Boone (Terrance), Tanner Boone, Mylee Boone, Khloee Boone and Brayden Jackson; great-grandchildren, Eli Newsome, Blayden Newsome and Talon Newsome.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Godwin Cemetery at 2 p.m. with Rev. Josh Long officiating.

Tony Ray Norman
Mr. Tony Ray Norman, age 70, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025 at his home in Atmore, Ala. He was born in Mobile, Ala. and had lived in Atmore for the majority of his life. He attended Friendly Holiness Church. He had a passion for fishing and was a devoted Alabama football fan. Cherishing moments with his family, particularly his grandchildren brought him great joy. He enjoyed sipping coffee, immersing himself in western films, tending to his garden, painting houses, and tinkering with vehicles. He also valued attending church and enjoyed listening to music.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leighton E. (Annie Mae) Norman, Sr.; wife, Lonia Rebecca Norman; one brother, Paul W. Norman; two sisters, Carolyn Rush, Patricia Dianne Langston; three brothers- in-law, Roger Griffey, Howard Dewitt McGhee and Gordon Dewayne McGhee.
Mr. Norman is survived by his wife, Melissa Norman of Prattville, Ala.; one son, Justin (Amanda) Norman of Poarch, Ala.; six brothers, Leighton E. Norman, Jr., Ronnie Norman, Darrell Norman, Rev. Thomas Norman, Willie Norman, Rev. Steve Norman; three sisters, Gale, Bobbie West, Linda Norman; four grandchildren, Tyler (Danielle) Sells, Jazmine Norman, Isabella Norman, Zaiden Norman; one great-grandchild, Jaxstyn Sells; two brothers-in-law, Gary McGhee, William “Boone” McGhee; five sisters- in-law, Georgia Lee Griffey, Mary Boyte, Cindy Wright, Juanita Flowers, Lena White and other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Friday, April 18, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Friendly Holiness Church with Rev. Thomas Norman, Rev. Steve Norman, and Rev. Joe White officiating. Burial will follow at Judson Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, April 18, 2025 at Friendly Holiness Church from 12 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m.

Margaret Rebecca Moring Jeter
Mrs. Margaret Rebecca Moring Jeter, age 84, of Atmore, Ala. passed away Friday, April 18, 2025 in Pensacola, Fla. She was born in Atmore to Henry Moring and Ruby Langham Moring. After high school, she attended Troy University where she received her Master’s Degree. Upon graduation, she became a first grade teacher at Huxford Elementary School where she taught for twenty-five years. She was also a member at Presley Street Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother; H. Wayne Moring.
Mrs. Jeter is survived by her husband, Rayford Earl Jeter; her sons; Tom Jeter of Atmore and Randy (Brenda) Jeter of LaGrange, Ga.; her daughters, Diane (Robin) Baggett of Huxford and Linda (Gary) West of Atmore; beloved sister-in-law, Marcella Moring and former daughter-in-law, Leeanna Jeter; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Presley Street Baptist Church.
In Lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations be made in Margaret’s memory to the Atmore Public Library and the Atmore Animal Shelter.

Mrs. Catherine Charlene Victor, age 53, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025 in Pensacola, Fla. She was born in Century, Fla. to Carl Starett, Sr. and Clara Belle Capers. She was a graduate of Ernest Ward High School and was a member of Beaulah Chapel Assembly of God. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandbabies who were the light of her life.
She was preceded in death by her mother; Clara Belle Starrett; her grandparents, George and Katie Mae Capers; her brother, Ricky Earl Rayborn, her niece, Kaitlyn Starrett and her nephew; A.J. Smith.
Mrs. Victor is survived by her husband, Johnny Victor, Jr.; her father, Carl Starrett Sr.; her son, John “J.C.” Victor; her daughter, Brittany Victor; her brothers, Tony Starrett, Joseph Rayborn and Carl Starrett, Jr.; her sister, Ellen Miller; her grandchildren, Brianna Heritage, Damon Heritage and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Donald Lee Presley
Mr. Donald Lee Presley, age 78, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025 in Century, Fla. He lived his entire life in Poarch, Ala. where he was born and raised. He was a proud member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. He loved hunting and fishing, and often gathered with family to play cards and Monopoly. He wasAs an avid Alabama football fan. His evenings included classic shows like Gunsmoke and other westerns, along with a good laugh at The Price is Right. He enjoyed trips to the Smoky Mountains. He also had a fun side, playing Santa Claus and Dracula for family gatherings. He also loved doing jigsaw puzzles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gillis and Myrtie McGhee Presley; daughter, Bridgette Plemmons; sister, Maurine Presley Cross Rolin; brothers, Chester Elvis Presley and Terry Woll.
Mr. Presley is survived by his five sons, Mikael Ryan Presley of Atlanta, Ga., Darin Gregory Presley of Atmore, Ala., Rodney Stewart Presley of Pensacola, Fla., Chris Adams of Meridianville, Ala. and Jason Forrest Presley of Robertsdale, Ala.; daughter, Carol Elaine ‘Anthony’ Reynolds of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Yvonnie Presley’ Patrick’ Crenshaw of Brewton, Ala. and Myra Sue Presley

H. Wayne Moring

Mr. H. Wayne Moring, age 82, of Atmore, Ala. passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla. He was born in Atmore to Henry Moring and Ruby Langham Moring. He graduated from Escambia County High School as salutatorian; graduated from the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in 1967; and in 1969, he received a Master’s Degree from Auburn University. His teaching career in Grant, Ala. at Kate Duncan Smith DAR School. He continued teaching at various schools for forty years and served as the Supervisor of Mathematics for Escambia County, Fla. schools.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edmund and Ann Witkiewicz, and his sister-in-law, Marguerite Witkiewicz; and proceeded by his sister, Margaret Jeter (April 18th, 2025)
Mr. Moring is survived by his loving wife, Marcella Witkiewicz Moring, his daughter, Emily (Monti) Sommer of Atmore; his four grandchildren, Jackson Sommer, Ella Sommer, Anna Sommer, Piper Sommer; brother-in-law, Rayford Earl Jeter; three nieces, Dianne (Robin) Baggett, Linda (Gary) West, Rachel (Tim) Robinson; two nephews, Tom Jeter and Randy (Brenda) Jeter.
The funeral will be held at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel Saturday April 26, 2025 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Roosevelt Sager, age 84, of Stapleton, Ala., passed away Friday, April 18, 2025 in Century, Fla. He was born to Dave Sager and Innear Blackmon. Roosevelt was employed at Vanity Fair as a sewing machine supervisor and later retired. He was a member and attended Full Power Holiness Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Patricia Ann Sager; his second wife, Dorothy Sager; brothers, Franklin Sager, Lynwood Sager, A.T. Lewis Sager; sister, Pearlyn Irene Sager and brother-in-law, O’Neal Holder.
Mr. Sager is survived by his sons; Larry (Rachel) Sager of Milton, Fla. and Barry (Adrianna) Sager of Bratt, Fla.; his stepchildren, Teresa (Derwin) Chastang and Dwane (Darlene) Homan; his sister; Rebecca Holder of Goodway, Ala.; grandchildren, Kenneth Sager (Mary Warren), Danielle Fay (Salem Fay), Dillion Sager (Carli Hadley), Arissa Sager (Dalton Coleman), Dalton Sager (Jennifer Reiser),Taylor Smith (Charlie Smith), Payton and Berkley Shumpert, Luke Hodge; numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at Bay Minette Cemetery in Bay Minette, Ala.
