The following felony arrests were reported by officers of the Atmore Police Department (APD) during the period December 27, 2024 and January 1, 2025:
Tramireus King
A 19-year-old Atmore man with a stolen gun was arrested December 27 on numerous charges, and his 16-year-old companion, who was also armed, was turned over to juvenile authorities after police spotted them walking down the center of a city street.
According to police reports, an APD officer on routine patrol “encountered two people walking in the middle of Liberty Street” around 11:55 p.m. The officer stopped to speak with the teens — Tramireus King, 19, and the juvenile, whose name cannot be published — and eventually recovered a firearm that had been reported stolen from an unspecified location outside Atmore.
The juvenile was also in possession of a firearm, police said.
King was booked into the Escambia County Detention Center (ECDC) on charges of second-degree possession of stolen property (a Class C felony), contributing to the delinquency of a minor, being a minor in possession of tobacco, and tampering with physical evidence.
A Friday, January 3, check revealed King was no longer listed on the jail’s inmate roster.
According to police, Escambia County Juvenile Probation officials have been contacted, and the 16-year-old will face criminal charges through the Juvenile Court system.
Terrance Henry
A Conecuh County man was arrested December 31 on felony drug possession charges after police investigated a report of “a male exposing his genitals” at or near a local apartment complex.
Police reports show officers were sent around 4:40 p.m. to “the area of McRea [sic] Apartments” in response to the report. Meanwhile, the person who called in the complaint provided dispatchers with a physical description of the suspect, later identified as Terrance Henry, 46, of Evergreen.
As police questioned Henry, they discovered he had outstanding arrest warrants through another agency. At that point, he took off but was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit.
A pre-arrest search of Henry turned up five grams of synthetic cannabis (Spice), more than 10 grams of Ecstasy, and a small amount of cocaine, as well as items used to package narcotics.
The Evergreen man was booked into the Escambia County Detention Center (ECDC) on three counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count each of possession of drug paraphernalia and attempting to elude a police officer. He was released from jail January 2.
Dana Wilfong
A Pensacola, Fla. woman was charged December 28 with felony drug possession after an early-morning traffic stop led to the discovery of a small amount of methamphetamine.
According to police reports, an officer pulled over a vehicle driven by Dana Wilfong, 53, around 2:20 a.m. as she drove along Alabama 21 “displaying an expired license plate.”
Reports by the officer are that he “noted suspicious behavior” during his conversation with Wilfong, who reportedly gave consent to search the vehicle. Police found a “small amount of methamphetamine, marijuana, and items that are used to ingest narcotics.”
The Florida woman was processed into the ECDC on charges of possession of a controlled substance, second-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She was not listed among the jail’s inmates on January 3.
Jason Phillips
A Milton, Fla. man was arrested December 31 on a felony drug charge, and three firearms he had in his vehicle were confiscated, after his vehicle was spotted “backed in between two closed businesses on South Main Street” around 1:05 a.m.
The incident took place around 1:05 a.m. As the APD officer talked with the driver — Jason Phillips, 43 — he “noted signs that Phillips was possibly impaired.” He also noticed a rifle in the passenger’s seat.
As Phillips was getting out of the vehicle, the policeman spotted a second firearm next to the console. Phillips was detained, and a search of his vehicle turned up a small amount of a substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine. Also found in the vehicle were “items used to ingest narcotics” and a third firearm.
Phillips was jailed on one count each of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, and the firearms were seized for safekeeping. He was released from jail January 2.
Andrew Bridges
Hannah Moye
Heather Cross
A South Carolina man was arrested January 1 on a weapons charge, and an Atmore woman and a Perdido woman were charged with felony drug possession after police were sent to a local motel to investigate a daytime domestic disturbance.
Police reports show that officers were sent around 1:20 p.m. to Southland Motel on East Nashville Avenue. An officer contacted the only male in the room, 25-year-old Jeremy Bridges of Woodruff, SC., and noticed a handgun in Bridges’ waistband.
The Carolina man was disarmed, and a computer check revealed he is a person forbidden to possess firearms due to felony convictions in The Palmetto State.
Meanwhile, other officers were attempting to contact two people inside the room who had briefly opened the door. The officer “noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the room and made entry.”
Inside the room were Hannah Moye, 25, of Atmore and Heather Cross, 47, of Perdido. Also in the room, apparently in plain view, was a small cornucopia of illegal substances. The illicit stash included various amounts of cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, a prescription medication, marijuana, and Gabapentin, an anticonvulsant medication that is effective in relieving nerve pain.
Bridges was jailed under a federal law that labels him as a certain person forbidden to possess a firearm. Moye was booked on one count each of possession of a controlled substance, first-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Cross was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance, illegal possession of prescription drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
All three were released from the county jail on January 2.
Andrew Parker
An Atmore man was jailed after he refused to pull over for APD officers who blue-lighted him as he reportedly drove recklessly along U.S. 31 in the wee hours of January 1.
According to police reports, they received a BOLO (Be on the Lookout) around 12:50 a.m. for “a reckless driver coming toward Atmore on Highway 31 from Flomaton.”
APD officers located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver, later identified as 25-year-old Andrew Parker, at first refused to stop. After a brief pursuit Parker stopped and was taken into custody.
Officers noted that Parker “appeared to be under the influence,” which was confirmed when he failed a field sobriety test. During a search prior to taking him to the county jail, officers discovered a small amount of synthetic cannabis (Spice).
Parker was processed into the ECDC on one count each of DUI, possession of a controlled substance, and attempting to elude a police officer. He remained in jail Monday afternoon, January 6.
Edric Forney
No details were provided on the December 31 arrest by Drug Task Force agents, including Atmore police officers, of a local man who apparently tried his best to avoid being taken into custody.
According to jail records, Edric Forney, age not provided, is charged with one count each of possession of a controlled substance, third-degree assault, obstruction of a government operation and resisting arrest.
Forney was apparently released, as he did not appear on the jail roster Monday, January 6.
