Douglas Allen Bowen
Mr. Douglas Allen Bowen, age 65, of Nokomis, Fla. passed away Monday, December 9, 2024 in Pensacola, Fla. He was born to James and Gloria Jeanette Byrd Bowen. He retired from Stone Container after many years of service. He enjoyed fishing, grilling, football, and NASCAR.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Shanna Bowen.
Mr. Bowen is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Mary Anne Krise Bowen; his sons, Nick (Beth) Bowen of Cantonment, Fla. and Bjay Ditto of Nokomis; his daughters, Winter Graham (John Levins) and Justina (D.J.) Espejo, all of Cantonment and Missy (Erik) Stein of Conn.; his brothers, Richard (Christie) Bowen and Robbie (Lisa) Bowen; his grandchildren, Amber, Trevor, Landon, Makayla, Lexi, Sophia, Dalton, Brooklyn, Easton, Christian, Scottie, Sydney, James, Gracie, Breanna, Miah and Lana; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and his special friends he thought of as his brothers, Rick Golson, Grady Hart and Greg McKinley.
A memorial service will be held Friday, December 13, 2024 at 4 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor J.B. Shoemaker officiating.
Flowers will be accepted but donations can be made to American Cancer Society and the American Lung Association.

Marie Barlow Alston
Mrs. Marie Barlow Alston, age 97, of Atmore, Ala. passed away the morning of Thursday, December 9, 2024. She was born to Sam and Clara Bell Barlow. She retired from Vanity Fair, loved Alabama football, Braves baseball and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Atmore.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert “Bob” Alston and son, Jerry Alston (Debbie).
Mrs. Alston is survived by her devoted children, Larry Robert Alston (Dianne) and Sam Alston (Beth); her grandchildren, Angie Huff, Crysti Alston, Christina Platt, Hayden Minshew, Angela Alston Brown and Jerry Bradford Alston, several great grandchildren and host of many other family members and friends who cared for her dearly.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Atmore with Dr. Kevin Garrett and Bro. Burt Hendrix officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Pat McAbe, Donnie Bray, Aden Miller, Kyle Huff, Tommy Deas and Ricky Deas.

Beverly Ray Ellis
Mrs. Beverly Ray Ellis, age 69, passed away Friday, December 6, 2024 in Atmore, Ala. She was a cherished native and lifelong resident of Atmore touching the lives of many with her kindness and warmth. As a dedicated homemaker, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life. The holidays, especially Christmas, brought her immense happiness, filling her home with music and cheer. She was an avid Alabama football fan. For many years, she worked as a Chemical Operator at Ascend Performance Materials. She also had a special talent for baking her amazng cakes were always a hit at family gatherings.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis (Voncille Mayo) Ray; brother, James Helms.
Mrs. Ellis is survived by her husband of twenty-eight and one-half years, the love her life, Don Ellis of Atmore; three sons, Bradley (Emily) Dykes of Brewton, Ala., Kavin Dykes of Pensacola, Fla. and Donald Ellis, Jr. of Mich.; two daughters, Jenifer (Tonia) Dykes of Atmore and Amanda (John) Groover of Mich.; sister, Carolyn Helms of Atmore; grandchildren, Tristan Dykes, Jayden Dykes, Brianna Ellis, Ethan Pitcher, Zachary Pitcher, Taya Stephens, Abbi Stephens, Thomas Stephens, Alice Ellis and Jacob Ellis; her beloved dogs, Bama and Jasper.

Sandra Paulette Kindred
Mrs. Sandra Paulette Kindred, age 79, passed away Monday, December 9, 2024 at her home in Montgomery, Ala. She was born in Florida to the late Robert Paul and Cassie Merle Morgan Killam. She graduated from Massey-Draughon Business College in Montgomery and began her career working for James L. Rouse Jr. at Rouse Motors, Inc. She worked for two Federal agencies beginning with the Internal Revenue Service and then retired later from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Middle District of Alabama. She was a devoted member to Valley Park Baptist Church and Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
She had a passion for baking and cooking for her family, friends and co-workers. Known for her kind heart, she never met a stranger. She enjoyed dining out with her closest friends and made it a point to serve others every chance she had. She cherished her family deeply and dedicated many years to teaching Sunday school at Valley Park Baptist Church, sharing her love and wisdom with the younger generation.
She was preceded in death by husband, Donald Kindred; son, Brent Kindred is survived by his wife (Kelly and her daughters Kaitlyn and Natalie); and sister Jane Carpenter.
Mrs. Kindred is survived by her daughter, Kelli (Andy) Lee of Prattville, Ala.; grandson, Brandon (Jordan) Kindred; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Braydon Kindred.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, December 22, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Poplar Dell Baptist Church Cemetery, 2661 County Road 4A, Century, Fla., with Rev. Mitch Herring officiating.

Edna Earl Lambert
Mrs. Edna Earl Lambert, age 97, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024 in Atmore, Ala. She was born in Perdido, Ala. to James Elbert and Naomi Singleton Digman. She worked at Vanity Fair for ten years. She was an avid gardener, vegetables and flowers. She was a great seamstress and an awesome cook She sewed many of her children’s clothes when they were young and continued to sew for her grandchildren and made many quilts for them. She was an awesome cook and baker with her specialties being homemade lasagna and chocolate chip cookies. She loved to travel and never missed the opportunity for a trip to the beach or to the mountains. She loved to go to her grandchildren’s sports activities, recitals or awards. She was their best cheerleader.
She was a little spit ball of fire, 97 years young. A little lady with a big heart and a sharp mind who loved all her family. After losing her eye sight, she loved just holding your hand and knowing you were there with her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hibbert Lambert, Sr.; infant daughter, Margaret Elizabeth Lambert; her son, Hibbert (Buddy) Lambert, Jr.; her daughter, Barbara Ann Hollingsworth; granddaughter, Rena Hollingsworth; great-grandson, Samuel Asher Lambert; her sons-in-law, Barney Ray Shipp and Dewayne Hollingsworth; her brother, James (Bo) Digman, her sisters, Essie Ziglar, Willie Gagner and Jean Lambert.
Mrs. Lambert is survived by four daughters, Merle Pope, Edna Shipp, Glenda (George) McAnally and Pat (Wayne) Lambert Hetzel-Barnes; her grandchildren, Ronald Hollingsworth, Robert Hollingsworth, Russell Hollingsworth, Rachael Hollingsworth Hamilton, Michael Lambert, Jonathan (Jon) Wade Lambert, Jenny Lambert Biggs, Keith Pope, Marsha McAnally Carter, Amanda Hetzel Hawkins, and Ben Hetzel; many great-grandchildren and many great-great-children; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Morgan Kelly Womack
Ms. Morgan Kelly Womack, age 29, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024. She was a 2014 graduate of Excel High School. She loved music and played in the Excel Marching Band of Gold. She was a Girl Scout; loved animals and volunteered at the Atmore Animal Shelter and eventually started her own pet sitting business. She loved to travel with her family. But the thing she loved the most was her family, her church family and her precious boyfriend of 10 years, Aaron. She loved her Lord and Savior with all of her heart and soul and shared that love with everyone she met. She was a prayer warrior.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Hoover and Jenelle Hall and J.D. Womack.
Ms. Womack is survived by her parents, David and Janet Hall Womack of Atmore; her grandmother, Ercell Womack; her sister, Shelly (Ryan) Lambert of Oak Grove, Fla.; her niece and nephew, Mary-Ann Lambert and John Lambert; her loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Heath Auston Baker
Mr. Heath Auston Baker, age 55, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024 in Pensacola, Fla. Originally from Davisville, Fla., he had been living in Atmore, Ala. for the last ten years. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church, where he found community and support throughout his life.
He cherished moments spent with his family and enjoyed participating in family gatherings. He had a passion for history and relished wandering the roads aimlessly. To him, nobody was a stranger, and he particularly loved being near water. A dedicated Florida Gators fan, he also enjoyed watching shows like Yellowstone and programs on the Food Network. His professional journey included roles at the Stone Bag Plant in Cantonment, Fla.; the Container Paper Mill in Brewton, Ala.; Wind Creek Casino in Atmore; Burroughs ATM Solutions; The Tavern in Atmore and The Lodge at Cliffs Landing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mack Auston Baker; one daughter, Ashley Dawn Baker; grandparents, Audra “Aud” (Ruth) Baker and Ralph (Viola) Mulder.
Mr. Baker is survived by his mother, Thelma Baker of Atmore; one son, Bradley Auston Baker of Atmore; one daughter, Haley Brooke Baker of Tyler, Texas; two brothers, Lloyd Baker of Agricola, Miss. and Clayton Baker of Atmore; three sisters, Marie (Tal) Moss of Milton, Fla., Sally (Tommy) Carriere of New Orleans, La. and Kimberly (Bryan) McGhee of Atmore; one granddaughter, Caralee Baker of Brewton, Ala.; lil buddy, Cason Prall; other relatives and friends.

Frank “Butch” Lambeth
Mr. Frank “Butch” Lambeth, age 69, passed away Monday, December 16, 2024 in Flomaton, Ala. He was born in Flomaton. He was the Lumber Manager of Bondurant’s with many years of service. He attended Liberty Baptist Church.
He loved spending his time outdoors, hunting or fishing. He enjoyed playing softball, watching western movies and cheering for Alabama football. Gardening was one of his favorite hobbies, sharing his harvest with family and neighbors. Always a handy man, he loved tinkering and fixing things around the house. Family cookouts were special occasions for him, where he would fry fish and cook other delicious dishes, creating wonderful memories with loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Morrell (Willie Kate Witfield) Lambeth; one brother, Thomas Ray Lambeth; and one sister, Joyce Ann Richburg.
Mr. Lambeth is survived by his loving wife of forty years, Teresa Lambeth of Flomaton; one son, Joshua Morrell (Brittany) Lambeth of Flomaton; one daughter, Hailey Moriah Lambeth (Nick) Linam, of McCullough, Ala.; two sisters, Patricia Gail Thomas of Century, Fla. and Elizabeth Kay Carnley of Flomaton; four grandchildren, Conner, McKenzie, Brooks, Brody; other relatives and friends.
