Williams Station Day

It was what we call a “Chamber of Commerce” day. You have an outdoor event planned and the weather cooperates beautifully.
Such was the case Saturday, October 26, for Williams Station Day. Folks milled around, visited, shopped from booth to booth, enjoyed the entertainment and good food, all under cloudless skies. It was a bit warm, but past WSD events have been cold and blustery and rainy.
With more than 100 vendors (art, arts and crafts, information, and food), the festival offered something for everyone.
In addition to everything on Pensacola Avenue, much had been done behind the scene the weeks leading up to Williams Station Day Saturday. Pumpkins were decorated and books were written. Pictures were taken and runners (and walkers) were preparing for their race.
Below are winners for the Atmore Community Hospital Breast Cancer 5K, Chamber Photography Contest, the Atmore Public Library (APL) Pumpkin Contest and the APL Bare Book Writing Contest.
