ECHS alumni reception – Short but sweet

Though the time for this year’s Escambia County High School Alumni Reception was a little shorter than usual, hugs, handshakes and back slaps were plentiful.
The reception traditionally begins at 9 a.m., which it did this year. However, the ribbon cutting for the new field house was scheduled for 9:30. The reunion continued at the field house as almost everyone made their way to the ribbon cutting and tour of the new facility.
We always like to get names or at least contact information to get names later and the class years for each group. However, this year, we had to snap pictures and head to the ribbon cutting. We apologize for not having names, but we’re sure you’ll see some familiar faces – maybe even your own with your classmates.
Following the reception, class members attended the pep rally in the gym.
Note: Numerous members of the ECHS Blue Devil Championship Class of 1984 were at the reception and in the homecoming parade that afternoon.
