Velma Jackson-Wilkins, left, of New York was in Atmore recently to attend a funeral. She ran into an old friend, Larry Forney. Forney was serving on the Atmore Area Hall of Fame Committee earlier this year when Jackson-Wilkins was inducted. Sadly, she was out of the country and couldn’t attend the induction ceremony in May.
