On Saturday, May 25, the Atmore VFW Auxiliary headed out to put flags on veterans’ graves for Memorial Day, accompanied by some special volunteers – three members of Cub Scout Pack 31 in Flomaton and one member from Boy Scout Troop 31 from Flomaton, as well as one of their leaders and their moms. They were also accompanied by a veteran volunteer.
They covered seven cemeteries and placed 223 flags on veterans’ graves. The cemeteries were Pineview, Canaan, Pollard, Huxford, McCullough, Judson, and New Home.
