The Rev. Dr. Monroe and Sister Nora Tucker have been visiting Atmore Nursing Center twice a week for about 20 or so years – at least that’s as long as anyone can remember. The second and fourth Thursday, they visit, lead singing and bring the Word of God to the residents.
Thursday, May 23, was just such a day. But on this day, there was a little more. ANC Activity Director Darlene Murphy and Activity Assistant Niki Conway hosted a small celebration in appreciation of Rev. and Mrs. Tucker’s service to the nursing home and Rev. Tucker’s induction into the Atmore Hall of Fame May 19.
Following Rev. Tucker’s teaching on Psalm 3, everyone enjoyed cake and fellowship.
