March 13-15, Southern Pine Electric Co-op took 12 high school juniors to Montgomery to participate in the 2024 Montgomery Youth Tour. While in Montgomery, students heard from motivational speaker Craig Hillier and legislators. They were also able to tour places of interest in Montgomery including The Legacy Museum, Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church and The Civil Rights Memorial.
Youth Tour representatives were Secily Carter, Flomaton High School; Abby Cooper, J.U. Blacksher High School; Paisley Donaldson, Escambia Academy; Harper Harrison, Flomaton High School; Myles Johnson, T.R. Miller High School; Jackson King, W.S. Neal High School; Tyra Lindsey, Hillcrest High School; Ashley Parra, Escambia County High School; Kendall Plunkett, Excel High School; Cayden Powell, Monroe Academy; Ella Robinson, Sparta Academy; Kylee Walton, T.R. Miller High School.
