County deputies arrest local men on drug charges

Escambia County Detention Center (ECDC) records show that county deputies arrested two Atmore men on felony drug charges during the period March 8-15, and that each arrestee was also charged with a second offense.
Jonathan Lee Owens
Jonathan Lee Owens, 43, was booked into the ECDC March 12 on one count of possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor charge of attempting to elude law enforcement.
No details of the arrest were available.
Owens remained in the county jail Friday, March 15.
Jeremy Jamal Gainey
Jeremey Jamal Gainey, 38, was arrested March 14 on two felony counts.
Jail records show he is charged with one count each of possession of a controlled substance (Class D) and second-degree assault (Class C). No details of the arrest have been announced.
Gainey remained in the county jail Friday, March 15.
