Atmore Community Hospital (ACH) announced that Lori Goodwin was awarded the 2023 Employee of the Year.
During their 2023 Service Awards and Employee of the Year banquet, employees were recognized for years of service in 5-year increments. In addition, Goodwin was selected as the Employee of the Year among other submissions for the award.
“Lori was nominated by a fellow employee who nominated her for demonstrated and unparalleled commitment to the success and efficiency of the ACH lab,” ACH Administrator Brad Lowery said. “After reviewing the other nominations, Lori’s nomination was selected as the winner.”
According to hospital officials, Goodwin’s nomination included details of how she went beyond the call of duty, dedicating countless overtime hours and night shifts to ensure the Atmore Hospital Lab was always staffed and functioning properly. Goodwin also was willing to take on additional responsibilities, set the benchmark for hard work and dedication, and displayed professionalism in her duties.
The Atmore Community Hospital Employee of the Year is a program where fellow employees submit nominations for the award.
“I wholeheartedly endorse Lori as the ideal recipient of the Employee of the Year Award,” stated Lab Manager Melanie Baldwin said. “Her remarkable contributions and selfless commitment to Atmore Community Hospital make her a truly deserving candidate.”
