Folks took advantage of the opportunity to get rid of some unwanted items at the Poarch Creek household hazardous waste and electronics collection day Saturday, April 22. The event lasted from 8 a.m. until noon, and 85 community members dropped off items during that time. The Atmore Christian School annual fish fry fund-raiser was held Friday evening, April 21. This donation-only event is a fund-raiser for the school. Shown, far right, Charles Johnson got his plates to go. At left, Madison, Darrell and Brandon Metlzer are just coming in. By the way, on a personal note, the food was great as always.

The 2023 Atmore Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held Saturday, May 6, 6 p.m., at The Club on Highway 21. A meet-and-greet time will be held from 5:30 to 6, but everyone is asked to be seated by 6.Tickets for the ceremony (which includes the catered meal) are $25 each. You must have a ticket to attend.
