NHS falls to Walton

This past Friday night, November 3, the Northview Chiefs traveled all the way to Walton County, but they fell short in the game. With a final score of 54-14, it was a difficult night for the Chiefs. Nonetheless, they are still headed to playoffs at Jay this coming Friday!
In the first quarter, Walton scored on the opening drive, making the score 7-0, with the good kick. Walton ended up scoring yet again in this quarter, Making the score 14-0. They scored for the third time, but the extra point was no good, leaving the score 20-0 at the end of the quarter.
In the second quarter of the ball game, Joe Wright scored a touch down for the Chiefs, making the score 20-7. Walton gained possession of the ball, but they fumbled, and it was recovered by Wyatt Scruggs for a 50-yard fumble return. Scruggs ended up scoring, making the score even closer at 20-14. Walton scored on the next drive, putting them up at 27-14. They scored 2 more touchdowns making the score 41-14 at the end of the first half.
In the third quarter, Walton scored again, which made the score 47-14. They scored their final touchdown of the night, making the final score 54-14.
In the last and final quarter of the game, neither team scored.
It was a tough night for the Chiefs, but they are ready to battle closer to home in Jay this week for the first round of playoffs. The game starts at 7; you won’t want to miss it!
