Special to Atmore News
Auditions and performance dates for Railway Arts Guild’s annual free-to-attend production of “The Polar Express” have been scheduled.
Auditions for the show will be held November 5, 2 p.m., at Atmore City Hall.
Parts are available for all ages, with a special focus on parts for children aged 6-18. Parts range in demand from feature roles with solos to non-speaking roles, so all levels of skill and experience are welcome and encouraged to audition.
Auditions will consist of simple line reads from the script for all parts. Those interested in a featured role will be required to perform a brief singing audition consisting of a prepared 30-to- 60-second song with accompaniment, as well as a simple dance audition.
Performance dates for the show will be Friday and Saturday night, December 15 and 16. Rehearsals are currently scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday nights at 6, and Sunday afternoons at 2, but these times are subject to change based on cast availability.
The show, sponsored by the City of Atmore, will be performed at Boxcar Willie in Atmore.
