Kimberly Yvette Ingram

Ms. Kimberly Yvette Ingram, age 50, of Evergreen, Ala., passed away Saturday, September 15, 2023. She was born to the late Herman and Bettye Ingram in Brewton, Ala. She was a 1992 graduate of Hillcrest High School. She then received her cosmetology license from Ed Reid Junior College. She was employed with the Conecuh County Sheriff Department for many years. She was a member of Unity in Christ Outreach Ministry, Inc. where she was a member of the choir.

Ms. Ingram is survived by four children, Kedarius Ingram of Birmingham, Ala., Axavian Ingram, Kededric Ingram and Christian Ingram, all of Evergreen; two brothers, Kenneth Ray (Carla) and Terry Ingram; seven sisters, Cheryl Ray, Gail Ray, Lavonda Ray, Cassandra Ray, Debra Ingram (Zack), Tina Ingram, Tammy (Jaycee) Bryant; fifteen nieces; twelve nephews and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins; four close friends, Tahisi Henry, Stephanie Fair, Sophia Evans ad Lillie Cobb.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Hillcrest High School Gymnasium with Pastor Wayne Nevlous officiating. Interment followed in Magnolia Cemetery.

Pallbearers were her nephews.

Flower bearers were her nieces and friends.

Bonnie Ruth Black Cummings

Mrs. Bonnie Ruth Black Cummings, age 82, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023. She was born on in Atmore to Harry Comer Black, Sr. and Verma Ruth Rowell Black. She was a member of Canoe Baptist Church. She worked for Vanity Fair Corporation for many years and later cherished time taking care of her family especially her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved gardening and cooking.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles L. Cummings and her brother, Harry Comer Black, Jr.

Mrs. Cummings is survived by her sons, Charles M. (Traci) Cummings, Leslie Wayne Cummings and Gary Eugene Cummings, all of Canoe; her daughter, Teresa Cummings (Tony) Hadley of Canoe; seven grandchildren, Clayton, Klinton, Leslie, Dustin, Dylan, Jacob and Annalyn; thirteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Waylon Stuckey officiating. Interment will follow in Canoe Freewill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Willneila Wiggins Henderson

Mrs. Willneila Wiggins Henderson, age 92, of Flomaton, Ala. passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023. She was born to an Assembly of God Church planter and pastor, Preston S. and Grace L. Wiggins. She had a lifelong devotion to her husband, children, and church, where she was a trustee and taught Sunday school for over 40 years. She was a lady of great faith who trusted God to order her steps. She leaves a legacy of great faith, and her trust in Jesus’ name gave her the strength and confidence to fight the good fight and finish the race.

She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-nine years, Wiley P. Henderson; parents, Preston and Grace Wiggins; her brothers, Rayford (Ellie) Wiggins, Lee Roy (Lois) Wiggins, Leonard (Jan) Wiggins; sister Clydell (Olin) Tisdale.

Mrs. Henderson is survived by four children, Wiley Phillip Henderson, Jr. (Teresa) of Montgomery, Ala., Rachel H. Bickerstaff (Eliott) of Madison, Miss., Dr. Charlotte H. Lee (Spender) of Auburn, Ala. and Victoria H. Benton (Dale) of Anniston/Oxford, Ala.; eight grandchildren, Wiley (Abby) Henderson, Elizabeth (Cameron) Osmore, Joshua Henderson, Samuel (Makayla) Henderson, Matthew Bickerstaff, Sarah Grace Lee, Ben Lee, Daniel Benton; one great-grandchild, Wyatt Osmore.

A celebration of life will be held at First Baptist Church of Flomaton, Ala. Wednesday, October 1, 2023 at 4 p.m. with Dr. Roland Brown, of Golden Springs Baptist Church of Anniston, Ala. and Jake Bondurant of First Baptist Church of Flomaton officiating. Burial will follow at Flomaton Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Wiley P. Henderson III, Joshua Henderson, Samuel Henderson, Matthew Bickerstaff, Daniel Benton and Cameron Osmore.

Jimmy Lee Raines

Raines

Mr. Jimmy Lee Raines, age 66, of Flomaton, Ala., passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023. He was born in Century, Fla. to Joe and Ruby Crawford Raines but lived in Atmore until 1980. He worked for Campbell’s Sand and Gravel, G.B. “Boots” Smith Oilfield Service and Howell Transportation whose name was later changed to Genesis Crude Oil, McKenzie Tank Lines in Pensacola, Fla. where he managed the sulfur substation near Atmore, Ala. until its closure. He had many good times working with his friends and talking on the CB radio with his call sign being “Iceman”. He retired from Covington Heavy Duty Diesel Parts in Pensacola in 2009. He was a very talented man doing whatever he put his mind to.  He was an accomplished craftsman, working with wood, building additions to his home, furniture and gunstocks.  He was especially proud of his knife handles.  He was a talented artist, and self-taught karate martial arts.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Walter H. Raines, II and Jesse Harold Raines.

Mr. Raines is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Susan Neal Raines of Flomaton; his son, Brian Raines (Dawn Watson) of Flomaton; his daughter, Melissa (Jeffrey) Coleman of Flomaton; his brother, Joseph C. Raines of Atmore, Ala.; his sister, Barbara (Charles “Skip”) Beasley of Castleberry, Ala.; his grandchildren, Ruby Raines and Lily Coleman, both of Flomaton; Kenzie Dall and Kason Dall both of Pace, Fla.; grandchildren in love, Johnny Ray Heathcock, Jazymn Heathcock, Jayla Heathcock, all of Pace; special niece, Skyler Wallace of Mobile, Ala.; special nephew, Tim Neal of Flomaton; aunt, Bessie Brantley of Atmore; numerous, much loved other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 2, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Atmore Memorial Chapel with Bro. Pat Carden officiating. Interment will follow in Canoe Freewill Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Tim Neal, Reuben Neal, Stevie Powell, John Walker, Jessie Blair, and Jason Dall.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Chambers, Daniel Morris and Jeffrey Coleman.

The family will receive friends Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Atmore Memorial Chapel.

Steve McKinley

McKinley

Mr. Steve McKinley, age 73, of Nokomis, Ala., passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023. He was born in Atmore, Ala. to Tralve and Ethel Brown McKinley. He was a 1968 graduate of Escambia County High School.  He was a member of Brooks Memorial Baptist Church.  He was the owner and operator of McKinley’s Auto Service for forty-one years.  

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister, Barbara Sue McKinley.

Mr. McKinley is survived by his loving wife of fifty-four years, Catherine (Cathy) James McKinley; his daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Chris Wilson; his grandsons, Dustin (Ashley) Wilson and Steve (Maddie) Wilson; his great- grandson, Kasen Luke Wilson and his unborn great-granddaughter, McKinley Kate Wilson; his siblings, Mary Ann Minchew and Debbie Smith and his sweet fur baby, Fluffy Jo.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, October 1, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery, Atmore with Bro. Don Davis officiating.

Jo Ann Morgan Roley

Mrs. Jo Ann Morgan Roley, age 81, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023. She was an accountant for Service Welding and Street Rods Unlimited.  She also worked at Atmore Memorial Funeral Home and Southern Real Estate before retiring.  She worked hard for her family and did whatever she could to provide.  She was a kind, generous and loving person to all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira Stanford Morgan and Viola Brooks Morgan and her husband, James L. Roley.

Mrs. Roley is survived by four children, Cheryl Datuin and husband, Tony, Johnny Jones and wife, Mona, Ricky Jones and wife, Lisa and Dina Jones; eleven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ricky Tedder officiating. Interment will follow in Godwin Cemetery in Bratt, Fla.

Active pallbearers will be Stan Morgan, Derek Morgan, Paul Powell and Scott Parker.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 1:30 p.m. until service time at 2:30 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
