January adjunct professor for Alabama A&M

Taylor Rain “Rainy” January has been selected to serve as an Adjunct Professor at Alabama A&M University, beginning the Fall Semester 2023. She will serve as a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) professor.
January continues to work as a Software Engineer in defense electronics with over seven years experience. She was a college intern for Redstone Arsenal Army Base. Also, she is a minority small business owner of TayloRain Technical Services, LLC.
January received a Master of Science Degree in Human Factors in Systems Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2021, and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from Alabama A&M University, completed in 2016.
January has a daughter, Autumn Rain, 7. She is the daughter of William and Paulette German and the granddaughter of the late Johnnia and Eddie German, and the late Eddie and Thelma Autrey. She is the niece of Bishop Wayne and First Lady Rhonda Johnson of Emmanuel’s Faith Center Church in Atmore.
January is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. She and her family are members of Emmanuel’s Faith Center Church, with Bishop Wayne Johnson, pastor, and Elder Ledell Johnson, Jr., assistant pastor.
Formerly of Atmore, January now lives in Huntsville.
