The second annual Gulf Coast Cattlemen’s Conference will be held from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m., Friday, August 4, at Grace Fellowship Church in Atmore.
Ken Kelley with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System will formally welcome attendees at 8:30 a.m.
The conference will feature speakers from across the southeast, covering various topics related to beef cattle production on the Gulf Coast. Also included will be a full trade show, allowing participants to interact with beef industry leaders and suppliers.
Speakers will include including Dr. David Anderson, an Extension Economist from Texas AgriLife Extension; Kent Stanford, Nutrient Management Specialist with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System; Chris Prevatt, ALFA Beef Commodity Director; and Dr. David Pugh, Retired Clinical Professor of Veterinary Medicine and Director of the Alabama State Veterinary Diagnostic Lab.
The trade show will begin at 7:30 a.m. Lunch and snacks will be provided.
