Kirk Anthony Britt
Mr. Kirk Anthony Britt, age 54, of Grand Bay, Ala., passed away Saturday, June 3, 2023 in Grand Bay. He was born in Pensacola, Fla. to Douglas and Estelle Joiner Britt. He was an avid outdoorsman and a pipefitter most of his life.
Mr. Britt is survived by his wife of twenty-eight years, Melissa Mitchell Britt of Grand Bay; his father, Douglas (Peggy) Britt of Cantonment, Fla.; his children, Tyler (Madison) Britt and Jessica (Rodney) Keith, all of Moss Point, Miss., Christian Britt and Angelica Jerry (Ronnie) Rand, all of Grand Bay, Ala., Joshua (Sarah) Jerry of Montgomery, Ala.; his sister, Rhadonna (Tom) Andrews of Molino, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Ava, Andrew, Jase, Ashton, Elliana, Eli, Summer; one niece, Brittany; two nephews, Lance and Trent and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Lee, Bro. Rusty Knowles and Bro. Shane Britt officiating.

Elick Stacey
Mr. Elick Stacey, age 73, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at his home in Rabun, Ala. He has resided all of his life in Rabun, Ala. He was self-employed as a carpenter/construction for many years. He was an avid sportsman especially enjoying coon hunting and fishing. He really enjoyed farming, gardening and all the family cookouts.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Hadley and mother, Luella Stacey; one son, Kevin Randall Hadley; one sister, Frances Stewart; one half-brother, George Henry Hadley.
Mr. Stacey is survived by his loving wife of 55years, Jean Stacey of Rabun; one son, Craig Lamar (Tammy) of Rabun; four daughters, Cathy Brown and Jennifer Hadley, both of Rabun, Lori (Danny) Vaughn of Orange Beach, Ala. and Angel (Jeremy) McGhee of Poarch, Ala.; one half-brother, Edward Hadley of Miss.; three sisters, Lena (Jimmy) Dubose, of Dyas, Ala., Sarah Johnson and Linda (Ray) Parker, both of Rabun; one half-sister, Carabell Hadley of Miss.; fifteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 16, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC. with Rev. Ray Ward and Rev. Malcolm Harrelson officiating. Burial will follow at Dean Cemetery.

Chafic Ibrahim Atallah
Mr. Chafic Ibrahim Atallah, age 93, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at his home in Byrneville, Fla. He was born in Beirut, Lebanon to his late parents, Ibrahim and Franjieh Atallah. He grew up in his family mountain village Adonis, in the Byblos region. He served as an elder at his Brethren church and was on the board of directors for Manarah Society (a Christian bookstore organization). He enjoyed traveling around the world, playing backgammon and ping pong, and cooking. His life exemplified his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, believing in the resurrection and eternal life with his Savior.
He was an employee of Arabia Insurance for fifty-three years. Having already learned French and Syriac besides his native Arabic language, HE also had to learn his fourth language English for his insurance job. He worked his way up to become the manager of the company’s largest department, marine insurance, with multiple branches throughout the Middle East. For his dedication and services for the company, he received the Nishan, an award for the highest distinction.
He was a war survivor who had to cross dangerous war zones to get to his work; on many occasions, he dealt with active shootings, snipers, and bombings. His faith in God remained strong; he would answer those who expressed concern about his dangerous route, “My faith is my weapon.”
He was preceded in death by his sister, Shafika Daou.
Mr. Atallah is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Mona; his sister, Florence; two sons, Nadim (Carol) and their children Anthony and Maya and Raja (Angela) and their children, Adrianna, Madeleine, Ayden, and Amahl and his many extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday, June 17, from 10:00-10:50 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
A funeral service will follow Saturday, June 17, at 11:00 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home with Pastor Gene King officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Carolyn Everette Nall
Mrs. Carolyn Everette Nall, age 81, of Excel, Ala., passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023. She was born to Joe Oliver Kizer and Audrey Kate Owens Kizer. She owned and operated Carolyn Everette Nall Daycare for over fifty years before retiring. She was a former member of Brooks Memorial and was a member of Excel Baptist Church. She loved to travel, go to the beach, and especially the river.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Stephen Everette and Richard Everette; her sister, Louise Arguilez and her brother, Andy Kizer.
Mrs. Nall is survived by her husband, Alfred Nall; her son, Scott Everette of Atmore, Ala.; her daughter, Denean (Mark) Sechcrest of Mobile, Ala.; her brother, Foster Kizer of Atmore; her sister, Frances (Delane) Hartzog of Prattville, Ala.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel in Atmore with Bro. Brian Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Canoe Methodist Cemetery.

Mr. Raeburn Lamar Fillingim, age 90, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023. He was born in Pensacola, Fla. to Sidney Trammell Fillingim and Maggie Mae Eddins Fillingim.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Emma Joan (Bealor) Fillingim; his siblings, Sidney Maxwell Fillingim and Virgie (Fillingim) Tabb and his nephews, Sidney Claude “Butch” Fillingim and Rodney Maxwell “Rod” Fillingim.
Mr. Fillingim is survived by his son, Walt (Charlotte) Fillingim of New Braunfels, Texas; his daughter, Kitty (Randy) Day of Atmore; his grandchildren, Stacey Fillingim and Whitney (Andy) Antley, all of Lafayette, La. and Jarrod (Crystal) Day of Andalusia, Ala.; his great-grandchildren, Anders Antley, Scarlett Antley and Sawyer Antley; his nephews, Mike Tabb and J.L. Bealor; his nieces, Ruth Blinn and Elizabeth “Liz” Keyes.

Donnie Fay Jackson
Mr. Donnie Fay Jackson, Sr; age 76, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023, in Perdido, Ala. He has resided most of his life in Atmore. He was a proud member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians, and very proud of the work he did for the tribe.
He was a very simple man and a very stubborn one too who loved his freedom and watching it rain. He enjoyed the outdoors, liked traveling, riding his mowers, working in his shop, welding and building things. He enjoyed drinking a good cup of coffee, loved his maps, and his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fay Jackson; mother, Ethel Mitchell Jackson; one sister, Ann Jackson, and second wife, Lisa Larrabee.

Mrs. Essie Drew Josey, age 101, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023. She was born in Baldwin County, Ala. to James Alex Drew and Ettie Solomon Drew. She was a member of Brooks Memorial Baptist Church. She worked as a machine operator with Masland Carpets, Inc. until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Randall Josey; her brother, Onas Drew and her sisters, Estelle Dean, Jessie Criswell, and Dorothy Barber.
Mrs. Josey is survived by her son, Ricky (Glenda) Josey of Stockton, Ala. and their family, Matthew Bowen and Vicky Evans; the late Randall Josey’s family, Ashley Josey and Justin Josey; her brother, Wilburn Cleo (Mildred) Drew of Pensacola, Fla.; her sister, Voncile Branch of Atmore and numerous great-grandchildren.
