Tiny Beatrice Rigby Bolton

Mrs. Tiny Beatrice Rigby Bolton, age 91, of Walnut Hill, Fla., passed away Monday, June 5, 2023 in Mobile, Ala.  She was born in Bratt, Fla. to Ely and Virgie Castillow Rigby. She attended First Baptist Church of Canoe, Ala.

She was preceded in death by her parents; eight siblings and her grandson, Zackary Bolton.

Mrs. Bolton is survived by her husband of seventy-two years, James C. Bolton; her daughter, Teresa Bolton (David) Brown of Atmore, Ala.; her sons, James Anthony “Tony” (Kim) Bolton of Franklin, Tenn. and Terry Alan Bolton of Pensacola, Fla.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 3 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home with Bro. Arnold Hendrix and Bro. Waylon Stuckey officiating. Private interment will follow in Godwin Cemetery.

Helen Marie Hallman

Ms. Helen Marie Hallman, age 84, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023. Known affectionately as “Momma” or “Nanny,” she had a deep love for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her great-great-grandchildren. She was a proud member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians serving in many capacities including the Tribal Council and Housing Board. A breast cancer survivor herself gave her a passion for breast cancer awareness, she directed seminars for several years at the Wind Creek Ballroom. Before her passing, she resided at the Lavan Martin Assisted Living Facility and filled the role of confidant, mentor, and friend to many of the residents and staff. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Levi and Treacy McGhee; eight sisters, Martha Wilson, Carlie Dalrymple, Imogene Sheets, Deloris Kelley, Velma Crocker, Myrtis Kinman, Eva-Nell Burkett, Donna White and two brothers, Leo and Fred Lee McGhee. 

Ms. Hallman is survived by her three children, Cindy (Scott) Martin, Rodney Exum and Ryan Exum; five grandchildren, Trent (Heather) Jackson, Amber Banda, Christopher Frost, Jordan (Brian) Moore and Cliff (Julia) Martin; nine great-grandchildren, Bailey (Drake) Jarvis, Bradley Spann, Haley, Hayden, and Hayeslyn Jackson, Maddie, Will, and Wes Moore; two great-great-grandchildren, Bentleigh and Taytum Jarvis; two sisters, Eldnar and Judy McGhee.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Atmore Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jon Lister officiating. Interment will follow in New Home Cemetery in Poarch, Ala. A reception will follow at Friendly Holiness Church.

Active pallbearers will be Derrick McGhee, Kevin McGhee, Josh Burkett, David A. Kinman, Greg McGhee, Dakota Sheets and Scott Jackson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Colbert, Carl Faye McGhee, Jarrell Hollinger, Keith Martin, and Dewitt McGhee.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 7, 2023 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Atmore Memorial Chapel.

Marsha Adele Brock Welch

Ms. Marsha Adele Brock Welch, age 77, of Bratt, Fla., passed away Monday, June 5, 2023 in Mobile, Ala. She was born in Delhi, La. to Robert Lee Brock, Sr. and Bess Cobb Brock.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; her companion, Curtis Welch and her brother, Robert Brock, Jr.

Ms. Welch is survived by her son, Mark Gary Guerrettaz of Norfolk, Vir.; her daughter, Katie Grimaud of Spring Hill, Tenn.; her sister, Sheila Smith of Mobile, Ala.; her brother, Roy (Linda) Brock, Sr. of Mobile and her grandchildren, Isaiah Guerrettaz, Sarai Guerrettaz, Roman Guerrettaz, Jacob Grimaud and Olivia Grimaud.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Noon at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in Atmore, Ala. with Rev. Roy Brock Sr. officiating.  Interment will follow in Pine Barren Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 13, 2023 from 11a.m. until service time at Noon at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Marilynn Whatley Lambeth

Mrs. Marilynn Whatley Lambeth, age 72, passed away Monday, June 5, 2023 in Mobile, Ala. She was born in Brewton, Ala. and has lived most of her life in Perdido, Ala. She enjoyed playing cards with her family and watching, “Days of our Lives” and “Wheel of Fortune.”
She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-eight years, Roy Lambeth, Jr; father, Willis Robert Whatley; mother, Dora Lucille Crossley; one brother, Willis Robert Whatley, Jr; two sisters, Sylvia Paulette Hadley, Debra Jean Crossley and one daughter, Katie Marie Lambeth.
Mrs. Lambeth is survived by her two sons, Joseph Lambeth and Billy Lambeth, all of Perdido; three daughters, Melonie Lambeth, Charity Lambeth,  Cassie Lambeth, all of Perdido; one sister, Dolors (Ronald) Jackson, of Brewton; fifteen

grandchildren, Justin Peebles, Natasha Handrop, Seth Lambeth, Logan Lambeth, Bella Lambeth, Haven Lambeth, Shayla Flowers, Devin Flowers, Wilson Lambeth, Keaton Smith, Ana-Leah Hayes, Mitchell Dinkins, Erin Dinkins, Carter Dinkins, Blayze Lambeth and other relatives.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC. with Sister: Helen Stewart officiating. Burial followed at Lottie Methodist Cemetery.
The family received friends Wednesday, June 7, 2023 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Petty- Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC.

Ronald Lee Vile

Mr. Ronald Lee Vile, age 76, of Perdido, Ala., passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at North Baldwin Infirmary in Bay Minette, Ala. He had been a resident of Perdido almost eleven years. He was born in Skaneateles, New York to Willard and Virginia (Rood) Vile.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Partridge; a brother, Earl Vile and a sister, Evelyn Travis.

Mr. Vile is survived by his wife, Donna Innes Vile; a brother, Gerald Vile; a sister, Leona Droppa and five children, Holly (Steve) Jones and their sons, Korey and Konner; Heidi (Mark) Kovalewski and their children, Karyn and Colin; Heather (Floyd) Bourgeois and their sons, Floyd and Wyatt and Heather’s daughters, Dru and Jasalyn, Aubrey and his daughter, Lanelle, Barbara and her children Emilee, Ryan, Honalee, and Hailee.

A funeral service will be held at Nokomis Baptist Church Thursday June 15, 2023 at 3 p.m.

Eddie Lane Peek

Mr. Eddie Lane Peek, age 51, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023 in Flomaton, Ala. He was born in Opp, Ala., moved to Century, Fla. and has resided the past twenty years in Flomaton. He worked at the Jay CO-OP for seventeen years, then drove an 18-wheeler truck for Pitt Trucking Company and DJL Transport for many years. He enjoyed having cookouts with family and friends. He loved the outdoors, especially going hunting, fishing, shooting guns and mud riding. He enjoyed a trip to Alaska to see his daughter. Truly an outgoing person who never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert “Danny” Peek; grandparents, Robert Gaston (Mary Eve) Peek, Leon Jordan, Betty Jean Jordan and step-father, Robert Eugene Tyree. 

Mr. Peek is survived by his mother, Patsy Tyree of Flomaton; loving wife of thirty years, Marie Peek of Flomaton; three daughters, Samantha (Skyler) Burgess of Palmer, Ark., Jamie Peek and Jessica Renee Peek, both of Flomaton; two brothers, Bobby (Kimberly) Peek of Atlanta, Ga. and Chris (Natasha) Wood of Flomaton; two sisters, Tammy Jernigan and Riley (Eric) Tyree, all of Flomaton; four grandchildren, Peyton Burgess, Ezekiel Burgess, Ezra Burgess, Haiden Peek; one sister-in law, April Wood; aunt, Rhonda Jordan; two special friends, Bryant Pace and Brent Wolfe; numerous aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. 

Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC. with Rev. James Gay officiating. Burial will follow at Cora Baptist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday, June 12, 2023 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Petty- Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC.

Robert Mario Starks

Mr. Robert Mario Starks, age 31, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Sunday, May 28, 2023. He was born to Robert and Christina Starks. He attended Escambia County High School and began his Christian experience at St. Thomas A.M.E. Zion Church.

He was preceded in dewath byh is father; grandmother, Emily Davis and on aunt, Celia.

Mr. Starks is survived by his mother, Christiana “Tina” Marshall of Atmore; sister, Stephanie (Jarvis) Starks; companion, LaShay McCarthy and bonus daughter, Zylasia Hands; three nephews, Mikeal Starks, Wiley Tait and Jaeon Williams; two great-nephews, Kameron Johnson and Mikeal “MJ” Starks Jr.; two great-nieces, Passion Starks and Ari Starks; childhood friends, Travis Richardson ad Makeal Starks; favorite cousin, Lacey Andrews; special firneds. Shaquille Brown and Carlos Tolbert along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Deliverance Minstrh of Jesus Christ with Dr. Kelvin Williams, Host Pastor and Minister Brandon Tanner, Eulogist. Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Demeteris Dixon, Ty’Won Dixon, Doug Oliver, Carlos Tolbert, Pete Lambert, Curio Brown.

Theresa McWilliams Allen

Mrs. Theresa McWilliams Allen, age 51, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Monday, May 29, 2023. She was born in Manhattan, New York to Sallie McWilliams and Ernest Mosiah. She attended Murphy High School in Mobile, Ala. She was a member of Lighthouse Apostolic Holiness Church. Her life revolved around her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Allen is survived by her husband, David Allen on Bayou LaBatre, Ala.; three daughters, Lasqevia McWilliams, Raven (Michael) Moore and Brittany Allen, all of Mobile; two sons, Terrance Allen and Akaeem Allen, both of Atmore; one sister, Yvonne McWilliams of Fairhope, Ala.; devoted friend of ten years, Larry Brown of Atmore; four grandchildren, Jacob “JJ” Herbert, Breana “Bre” Smith, Kingsley “NuNu/King” Moore and Chase “Fat daddy” Tunstall; two nephews, Anthony McWilliams and Reginald Yelder and a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Lighthouse Apostolic Holiness Church with Elder Julius McWilliams officiating. Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Akeem Allen, Terrence Allen, Anthony McWilliams, Reginald Yelder, Michael Moore, Lasqevia McWilliams and Larry Brown.
