Atmore Flower Shop’s southern (Church Street) façade was adorned with a new mural last week. The eye-catching creation, which features a spring flower garden in full explosion, with metal ‘petals’ of varying hues attached to long, green, painted stems. It was made a part of the florist building’s exterior by David Landis and crew at Atmore-based Landis Design Co. Shop owner Joyce Petty said organization of the project was the work of Millie Murphree with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, Main Street Atmore Executive Director Shinora Redmond, and local businesswoman Dale Ash, conducted under the provisions of ACES’ community program.
